Private Fees

Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges. Examples include the following:

  • Medicals for pre-employment, sports and driving requirements (HGV, PSV etc.)
  • Insurance claim forms
  • Prescriptions for taking medication abroad
  • Private sick notes
  • Vaccination certificates

The fees charged are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) suggested scales and our reception staff will be happy to advise you about them along with appointment availability. The typical waiting time for private work is around 10 days.

Hepatitis B

At risk occupations

  • It is the EMPLOYER ‘s duty to pay – give standard letter to patient for them to give to employer. All jabs / tests must be paid for, by the employer, IN ADVANCE. 
  • Course of 3 jabs @ £160. Test @ £70 a further jab might be required subject to outcome of blood test.  
 

Medical Students

  • Must be referred to their Occupational Health Centre. We may be considered negligent if we give jab.
 

Post exposure / bites

  • We have a duty to provide Hep B, free of charge.
 

Travel

  • Charge at standard rate, Course of 3 jabs @ £150 no test required

 

Professions that are not accepted 

You cannot confirm someone's ID if you:

  • are a doctor, unless you state you know the applicant well (for example they are a good friend) and you recognise them easily from their photo.
  • Work for HM passport office
  • work at UK visas and immigration and are involved with applications for British citizenship or right to abode in the UK.
