Prior to Medical School I worked in the Pathology Laboratory at St Richards Hospital while completing my first degree in Applied Biomedical Sciences. I then went on and completed my Medical Degree at St Barts and The London in East London before moving back to the South Coast where I grew up to complete my initial training at St Richards Hospital.
During my Foundation years I worked in Acute Medicine, Psychiatry, Gastroenterology, Paediatrics and had my first experience in General Practice at Maywood. I enjoyed the job so much I applied to GP training and was lucky enough to return to Maywood as a GP trainee a few years later and have now joined the practice as a qualified GP.
I enjoy the variety the General Practice entails, but especially enjoy Paediatrics and Mental Health, and I am hoping to develop my skills to include Minor Ops such as joint injections in the near future.
Outside of work I am kept busy by my two children and enjoy baking and regular family trips to Cornwall to visit my in-laws.
